KenandSallyWarner Report post Posted November 8, 2011 I have just had an SMI supplemental braking system installed and it has three red LEDs that sit on the dash to be seen by the rear monitor in the motorhome. The monitor is not in color; therefore I cannot see the LEDs. I have not selected a replacement LED yet. Any suggestions?
Guest Wayne77590 Report post Posted November 8, 2011 I have AF1 breaking system. When it was installed they asked where I wanted the lights, and gave me some options. One of them was inside the motorhome. When I stated that I wanted it inside the MH he said that the lights were very bright and we decided to put it down on the cowling next to the accelerator. That way it is not directly shinning in my face and i can stll see it out of my peripheral vision. You can put it wherever you want, but wire will need to be run. daljoy Report post Posted November 11, 2011 I experienced the same problem. What I did was to run a wire from this light to my dash in the RV. It was not a difficult job. Now I have lights in the car and the RV. I put a nice blue light in my dash. This is not as bright as the one in the toad. Works great for me. Dale
RonaldNC Report post Posted November 12, 2011 I had the installer put the green LED light on shifting panel on my left side. It's easy to see, but isn't blasting me in the eyes at night. Ron
