We traveled through West Texas (Alpine, Marfa, Big Bend, Ft. Davis, Marathon) last spring and enjoyed every minute of it. Texas is so vast and different from one side to another. We did that in September with a 2 week trip based at Davis Mountains State Park with side trips to McDonald Observatory, Terlingua and Big Bend National Park. We saw some remarkable country.
