thaight Report post Posted June 27, 2012 I am purchasing a 2012 Chev Equinox FWD to tow behind my class A Diesel. Am looking for suggestions for the best tow bar setup. Is the type that is stored on the rear of the motorhome preferable and still cost-effective?
hermanmullins Report post Posted June 27, 2012 thaight, Welcome to the Forum. I have a Blue OX tow bar with Blue Ox base plates on my Chevrolet Truck. My tow bar is locked on the coach. When we hit the road I install the two pins on the truck, pull up to the truck and only have to pit in two hitch pins an I my tow bar is ready. I do have to pit on the safety cables, light cord, air brake line and the brake away safety cable. In my opinion the tow bar that stays on the coach is the way to go. I may be wrong but I believe that Blue OX is the only maker that has just the pins that are removable from the base plates. But there are several really good tow bars on the market and only you can and should decide which one is right for you. Good luck. Herman
