Towing 2002 Ford Escape manual

Hi. Anyone have tips for this newbie and towing. I have a 2002 Ford Escape XLS 5 speed, manual transmission to be towed by a Class A Motorhome 26'; Shasta Roadmaster (1987) Chevy 454 4 barrel. Car manual says can be towed 4 flat. The MH already has a receiver hitch and a braking control system installed (aftermarket) but I dont have the aux braking system mechanism. I don't know if it was for a trailer or dinghy? Any one got any advice or Ideas.

What brand brake control? That may help narrow it down.
