whiteeagle Report post Posted November 6, 2012 Sure you can find many but I'm aware of friends staying at Cocopah RV resort Campgrounds and another at Araby Acres campgrounds.... both enjoy where they are .. both places look fine on their web.... we're going to stay awhile at Cocopah while out there. They won't let you fly a flag on your rig. 2. They don't allow motorhomes to bring trailers on site - if you're towing a motorcycle on a trailer you have to unload the bike out front, move the trailer to a storage lot across the street (for $20 a day), then you can go to your site with your motorhome and bike. A bit inconvenient to say the least. I imagine it's the same if you have a tow dolly. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
wigginsjsr Report post Posted April 24, 2013 We find the Westwind RV & Golf Resort to be the best mix of amenities, location and friendly residents. We spent a few weeks there in January 2012, and liked so much we spent February and March of 2013. We will be spending December thru March there this winter. It is centrally located to shopping, etc. Lots to do at the Cheers Lounge, restaurant, golf, pool, dances every Friday night, stage shows every Saturday night, etc. You really only have to leave the park to shop for groceries. If you decide to try Cocopah, all the sites seem to be located on the golf course well within range of bad shots. Nearly all the sites have screens to deflect errant golf balls. Plus Cocopah is located a long way from anything else in a not too good part of town. Most of the winter residents in Yuma are from Canada. Normally very friendly, full loving bunch.
