Campground Near Washington DC

Recommended Posts

Have narrowed down two campgrounds near Washington DC.

The KOA Washington/Capitol or Cherry Hill in Beltsville, MD.

Has anyone stayed at either one or have other recommendations?

When we go to DC we always stayed a Greenbelt National park.

Subway station is 1 1/2 miles away.

It was $8 a night and no hookups but does have water and sewer dump station.

We usually stay a week or so.

Cherry Hill Campground is always our favorite. The facility is well run and they offer pet sitting service, if needed. Bus service comes into the campground and it is a short drive to the Greenbelt Metro station.

We love Cherry Hill RV Park . The place is very clean like the pools & Hot Tub and the food in thier cafe is good too. They have a great laundry facility and a free outdoor movies.

We use to go every 4th of July weekend get some crabs from the fish market in Washington and take them back to the Rig and watch the fire works near by from our rig eating crabs.

We stayed in Cherry Hill. Easy to get into, friendly, clean, well kept, reasonably priced $50, Public buses and tour buses to park. Near shopping centers.
