OK Campground

Recommended Posts

Anyone know of a campground with long pull through spots near I-44 between OK City and Joplin, MO - seems like once we get past OK City we are out of luck until we reach Joplin. We heard rumors that a casino on one of the reservations along that route had opened up an RV area - any suggestions?

Downstream Casino on the OK/MO line has RV parking. Not sure of the services, but I think it has power/water and a common sewer dump. Free for three days with a club card...also free. : www.downstreamcasino.com

Rick

Welcome to the Forum.

Downstream is a new casino and has two locations to park. Both are close to the casino but I don't know about rig size. A little ways off the Interstate in Grove, OK there are two nice parks. Ceder Oaks can handle long rigs and you can get a site over looking Grand Lake.

Also there is a park called Bears Den. They also can handle long rigs however we have not stayed there.

We have stayed a Ceder Oaks many times, Great folks.

Wow. There are several nice RV Parks. Some just minutes off of I-44. Some you may drive a short distance but well worth the visit.

http://www.cedaroaksrv.com/ Cedar Oaks RV Park is quite nice. There is a lot to do there. (besides Grand Lake) we even went on a tour of an Alpaca Farm.

Big Cabin also has a decent rated RV Park which was well rated at RV Park Reviews -- touted as being close to the interstate but still an nice place to Overnight.

Water's Edge at Vinita is also well rated.

Hope this is of some help.
