Cleaning HWH Jack Rods

Recommended Posts

I use ATF Trans Fluid, it keeps the seals soft.

I don't use a lot, because it will attract dirt, I clean them a couple of times a year.

Larry,

I understand your thinking. However I would only use a lubricant for protection if I were going to be parked for a long period of time. When you were ready to move I would be sure to wipe the piston with WD 40 to clean and remove the dirt before raising the Jacks.

Under normal travel your jack pistons will be up and covered with the fluid.
