Fibreglass Failure?

On my '06 Itasca Meridian with full coach paint and clearcoat, one sidewall is covered with what look like small knife marks under the surface, plus one area you can actually see the white fibreglass. Have been told it is a fibreglass failure common to '02 to '08 vintage. Winnebago of course knows nothing, sees nothing, hears nothing.

Its gelcoat cracking. Common in poor lamination, like too thin and to much flexing.

Typical to see this in boats, generally not structurally related but a pain to correct.

The industry was buying sidewalks from Corning at that time. The cracking that looks like small random razor cuts usually shows up first on the black or dark paint. Painting isn't an option only sidewall replacement. Some manufactures warranty the walls for up to 5years.

The reason I'm aware of this I just had all my walls replaced at N/C

Yes Monaco replaced a bunch of sidewalls before they got the same disease that Winnebago has, I think Corning stopped helping and this was a expensive fix to eat all the cost.
