Installing my Roadtrek A/C

Recommended Posts

It seems like the window air conditioner should be made upside down. The cold air blows forward and if you force it down it is just picked up in the A/C return. If the cold air came out the bottom and the return was on the top it could work much better.

What would it hurt to install it upside down?

I suspect the answer is NO, as compressors, etc are designed for a certain orientation.

BUT, a quick call to the A/C manufacturer will give you the FACTS.

There is generally enough force to exiting cold air that it does not mix with the return air.
