Where To Go?

Question

Traveling for the first time via motorhome with 2 senior citizens, 2 adults and 2 twenty year olds. Leaving from Peekskill, NY, second week of July for maximum of 9 nights including roundtrip. Any suggestions on where to go and sites to see? We like the following: baseball, wineries, micro breweries, sight seeing, history, beaches, country music, gardening, we really are pretty easy going!! Will not be towing a vehicle as we are renting the motorhome. Thanks! :)

The Finger Lakes wine tour and a visit to Letchworth SP would be very nice. Then a stroll along the Erie Canal or a bike ride if you are so inclined.

Letchworth is called the Grand Canyon of the east. There is camping near the south entrance and great canyon and waterfall views. I suppose a side trip to Niagara Falls for a day would be worthwhile adventure. Stay close and spend the day. Definitely visit the Bridal Falls on the stairway and do the Maid of the Mist. If you like gambling there are casinos on both sides of the falls (US and Canadian).

Karen,

The finger lakes are gorgeous!... and a lot of fun. They have literally hundreds of wineries and vineyards, a couple microbreweries and even a distillery. Make sure you stop at the Torrey Ridge winery, Tell them the "truck driver from Ohio sent you" Esther and John are the nicest people!

The 3 western most lakes,Canadaigua,Cayuga and Keuka will give you the most bang for your buck. It is just a beautiful area to visit!
