my86gw Report post Posted May 29, 2014 Curious about antenna mounting on a rig, one shop suggests mount on ladder, at $230. Last MH I installed truckers flat wall mount, two 1/4 inch holes in wall, worked great for 3 years, but I'd love to hear from people with suggestions and ideas. Thanks to all, Happy travels! kaypsmith Report post Posted May 29, 2014 Ladder mount will require a long coax from driver seat to the antenna, and that seems expensive. I would suggest the flat mount also, and if you are not familiar with a top load fiberglass antenna, I would recommend it over a steel whip antenna.
