Need Nice Campground Near Atlanta GA

I'm planning a training trip to Sharpsburg, Ga the end of June. Need a nice campground for the family for the week

Any suggestions???

Wow, good luck! There's really not much anywhere nearby. Anytime I am in the Atlanta area I like to stay at Stone Mountain but that's a bit out of the way.

Take a look at http://www.rvparky.com for campgrounds and other options in the surrounding area (but there are not many).

Opposite from Atlanta but closer to Sharpsburg at Pine Mountain, FDR Ga. State Park is a really nice park that I have stayed at many times. Calloway Gardens is near the park, also the FDR Little Whitehouse are good attractions to visit while there.

We normally stay at the Atlanta Marrietta RV Resort. Its been a few years but the reviews are still good.

That's exactly what I was thinking..

There's not much near there

I will probably have to drive about 1hr to get to where I am suppose to be.

But in my opinion that's better than staying in a hotel.....

I'll put in a second for Pine Mountain. It's only about 45 minutes from Sharpsburg.
