Boondocking in Colorado with 40ft MH?

Question

Was wondering where some other Rv'ers and atv'ers go in Co. We have been to Tin Cup, Pitkin and Taylor Res area as well as Lake City to Silverton via Cinnamon Pass. We were wondering about Leadville, Aspen area? Let us hear some of the beautiful places!!!

Leadville is over 10,000 ft. Everybody in your group OK with high elevation?

Buena Vista is close to Leadville and Salida, with lower elevation.

Salida is a neat town by the way. We love the Boathouse Restaurant right on the Arkansas River.

We are headed through there in August.

Probably stop a day or two on our way to Lake City.

I like clear creek campground for boondocking:

The fishing at the lake is great and the sites allow you to choose if you want to be on the trees and shaded (right next to the rive) or in the open for more Sun and satilight reception. Most sites have a fire ring and plenty of room to put out your awning.

It's right between Leadville and Buena Vista.
