Cleaning Corian Counter Tops

Recommended Posts

I wish to thank all of you for for the many great ideas when I have had questions. I do have one more.

According to Winnebago Ind. if you have Corian top with scratches. They suggest using Comet and a green scouring pad. Then to polish with furniture polish or a good car wax. I have tried that in a small area, and it did not work like they said.

Newer models have a very glossy counter top. Our model is a Journey 2014 and the 2015 look a lot better.

Are there any ideas?

It truly depends on what finish you want.

Some like a matte finish (I use a fine scotchbrite pad), some like a gloss finish.

For gloss, start as course as needed to remove scratches and finish with 2000 grit sandpaper (wet/dry) and then rubbing and polishing compound.

Adding to Brett's comment, I have started using 4000 grit wet/dry sanding disc's with loop backing, can be found at automotive paint stores. I use water on the D/A tool, very high gloss for final finish.
