I have an 03 Phaeton Diesel pusher. It has 2 ac/heat pump systems on the roof. The AC works great on both.

When I tested the heat pumps it was 47 degrees outside. The heat pump on the rear works.

But the heat pump on the front turns on and then immediately turns off.

Any ideas on where to start with this?

Thanks,

Mike

Should work at 47...but not too well.  We've had both heat pumps and Aqua Hots in our last two MHs.  Even though we have both, we've gotten into the habit of using the AH.  Quiet and dependable heat, and if not too cold, don't need the diesel burner.

Thanks JohnJohn from Tittin network suggested turning it to AC first then to heat.
His tip worked. I'm thinking maybe it as stuck in a cycle and just had to be re-cycled through the options.
Anyway it was 55 degrees out, generator running since I no longer had shore power, turned it to air for a few seconds, turned it off, then turned it to heat and it turned on and ran longer than before.
