Chafing In sink drain line

During assembly, some person at Beaver oriented every hose clamp -- including the compression and worm-gear clamps shown in the picture, so that every sharp edge was pushing up into the underside of the rubber sink drain hose. Lovely.

It took 12,000 miles for the "teeth" to do their job.
