purchased 2 coach batteries and 1 engine battery

We have 2004 gulf stream sun voyager. we drove it the a few days ago and all was good. when we stopped and tried to restart there were no lights on the dash and it would not start. thought it was a battery issue so purchased 3 new batteries and that did not help. we are able to start using the emergency safety switch on the dash. is there a safety kill switch that could have been hit and we do not know it. thanks in advance it has a 8.1 workhouse engine with Allison auto transmission the toggle switch is on the dash and it stated that if you put in a new battery hold it for about 3 seconds and try to start. if that does not work hold that switch and crank the key at the same time. that worked. I think that is using the coach batteries to start the chassis.
