  1. THANKS FOR THIS POST. WE HAVE A 2012 FUSION THAT WE BOUGHT IN DEC. 2011. WE WERE TOLD WE COULD TOW 4 WHEELS DOWN GOT THE CAR AND MH ALL SET UP WITH BLUE OX SYSTEM COST US $4500.00.

THEN FORD CHANGED ITS MIND SO WE BOUGHT A TOW DOLLY. THEN WHEN WE HAD THE CAR IN FOR OIL CHANGE AND ASK AGAIN ABOUT TOWING 4 WHEELS DOWN THEY SAID THAT FUSIONS MADE BEFORE JAN 2012 CAN BE TOWED 4 DOWN, THEY CHECKED OUR VIN NUMBER WITH FORD AND YES WE CAN TOW 4 WHEELS DOWN.

WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM ANYONE WHO HAS TOWED THE FUSION 4 WHEELS DOWN.

WE ARE ALSO RETIRED IT IS A BIG EXPENSE AND HARD ON US WHEN WE HAVE TO UNHOOK THE DOLLY.

DID FORD FIX THE CAR FREE OF CHARGE?

THIS CAN BE DONE I HAVE DONE THIS LUB PUMP COOLER TRANSMISSION FLUID LOW PER SPEC,S AND it will work

  2. This will not help. I have been threw the dance and the Ford Fusion cannot be towed (4 wheels on the ground). I brought this car for towing! I was told it could be towed,Blue Ox said the same and Remco sells a pump lube for this application. BUT you are wasting your (monies). THERE are 13 or 14 pages on this subject in our FMCA. I am retired and can not afford to buy another car to tow. I have had enough, I share so people will not suffer the same fate.

  3. I have a 2010 fusion,in shop now for number 4 transmission and 1 lube pump! I have done all that Ford has asked me to do. I just cannot understand this behavior. I am retired and this was my toad!!The FMCA said that I could tow this car-- look for yourself, I would like an honest answer to a simple question. What have you people had luck towing 4 wheels on the ground?? I have put an ad in paper looking for a car,mfg USA that I can tow.. :(

  4. :( Well I have a 2010 fusion, twice the trans has been left behind now this is the third time,I had a REMCO lube pump kit (lp-ford kit(6f35).

FORD said this would take care of my problems. Well I have the left third trans in South Heaven,Mich, 200 miles from my house. 1mile from the lake 95 f no car. I will go and get my Ford this weekend. I will sell it and try to get with an HONEST DEALER. Wish me luck.

Well as you get older, things get harder to handle.

  5. The owners manual says flat towing for automatic transmission vehicles only requires a 5 min warm-up, put in neutral, key in accessory and AWAY WE GO!! NOT SO!!!

Tow for max 6 hrs then run through the gears again. If you follow this procedure the result after towing will be the same as mine. A dead battery. And it happened 4 times before I got the complete story directly from Ford. The correct procedure is: Warm up for 5 minutes. Move the shifter through the gears for another 5 min. Put it in neutral, key in accessory. Remove fuses F27, F41, F43, F45 and after 6 hrs tow time reinsert the fuses, run the engine sequence again, put in neutral, key in accessory, replace the fuses. The fuse panel is located in a very difficult to access position under the dash to the left of the brake pedal. For most of the older generation it might just as well be on the moon.

Anyone want to buy a 2011 SEL Fusion with 7500 miles on it?.

I have a 2010 Ford Fusion also. Buy a lube pump Ramco 900;00 and your trips will be without worry :( :( :(

  6. I have a 2005 winnebago (journey) 350 #7 All of the jacks come up using the (STORE) button however the left rear will come up but not enough to turn light off or the buzzer 1 or 2 inches. I have contacted HWH and they are looking into it. I spent $130.00 at General RV in Wixom and they said that I have a bent cylinder.
