Has anyone had any information about using a K&N air filter on their diesel engines? I have an ISB 6.7 Cummins. Supposedly K&N are supposed to be more superior than the stock filters. John

Thanks guys, I will look into the Blue Ox. I have spoken with a rep named Mike Thelander. A nice person to discuss this with. You too Herman, but sometimes the wind is a little bit of a pain. Especially with my Allegro Red, a short wheel base with out a tag axle. John

Can anyone help me with some ideas on places to boon dock besides the Walmart's. We are kind of new to the West and southwest as far as finding some good spots. I would appreciate any help. We enjoy nice scenic areas to do it at. John

Thanks for responding. The thing that bothered me with the Blue Ox True Center, was the man at the Louisville Seminar, and the way he put it. It seemed like you always had to hit the button on the dash when ever you were in wind or what ever and then had to hit it again to bring it back to normal. It seemed funny to me. You say the saf-t-plus didn't do anything for you. That was the only other one I would have preferred. I am going to talk with a rep from Blue Ox and get the real low down. Thanks for your input. John

Herman, sorry for the caps and the bold. It seems I can see the letters better. Thanks for the info. I have heard from others and it sure is kind of difficult to hear both good and bad, I guess you are right I will have to make up my own mind. Thanks again, John

HI, I AM INTERESTED IN FINDING THE RIGHT STEERING SYSTEM FOR MY ALLEGRO RED OPEN. THE BLUE OX TRUE CENTER OR THE SAFETY PLUS. I HAVE SEEN BOTH AND HAVE BEEN HEARING GOOD AND BAD ABOUT BOTH. I WOULD LIKE SOME INPUT ON THESE AND WHICH HAS SEEMED TO BE A BETTER PRODUCT. JOHN ALLEVI

First I would get the RV weighed. The front axle, rear axle, the whole RV weight. Second, I would get each tire weighed so you definitely know what each axle each side weighs for the exact tire pressure. If you have dual wheels in the back, take your total weight on each side and divide it in half since you have 2 axles or 2 tires on one side each. I hope I didn't confuse you, but if you get it weighed, the people will show you. I think this is a must for you, since most RV's are overloaded, and I confirmed this at a good Sam Rally I just attended and also talking with people over the last 30 years of doing this. John

Does anyone have a Safe-T-Plus, Steer Safe or the Blue Ox steering control/stabilizer mechanism? And can anyone recommend one over another? I have been hearing the Safe-T-Plus is much better. Thanks. John

I would like more info on carrying a weapon like a pistol. While taking my concealed permit class in Texas, I was told you can carry a gun in states that do not respect the license's of concealed permits if the gun is unloaded and separate from the bullets. Maybe someone can clarify this. I will also look up some of the websites posted here.

I would like to put my picture in my picture box, but don't know how. I would appreciate some help. Thank you, John

Thanks guys, I was just wondering how you all were doing it. I don't do this at Walmarts or any business place. I try to find a level spot or move. I am a stickler on leveling. I do what one of you says. I have always carried a lot of wood with me, and I do build a sort of ramp using a few boards to go up one at a time. Now I would like to know how to get rid of mice. I think I might have a family in here. I can't get to them or see them unless they come out at night, which one did and I finally got him after a lot of D-con he ate up. They usually come up at night after we are in bed and I see their droppings in some drawers. I have finally set up an old fashioned trap with the spring load to kill him or them, plus I have more D-con pellets. Thanks, John

I was told by Tiffin service techs to drop the levelers, then do the slide outs and reverse it when leaving. Pull in the slide outs and lift the levelers.

Hi, I would like some info on leveling my Allegro RED. Can you put one side up on some wood and let your jacks down without putting to much pressure on the other side. Sometimes in parking lots like casinos, Walmart and campgrounds, it isn't very flat. I have tried putting blocks under one side of the tandems, and a block under the jack on that side and the other tire almost came off the ground. Thanks, John

Hi. I would like some info on dry camping. I have an Allegro Red with an 8k generator. I know I can use it for dry camping, but it does use quite a bit of fuel when using it maybe four hours a day at different times. We don't use a lot of amps during the day, and only a little at night. I thought buying a 1,000-watt generator and with my four 6-volt house batteries, it would be more convenient with a small little engine charging than my big generator. Thanks for helping. John Allevi
