  1. leered,

I have stayed at several campgrounds in that area.

In Lancaster, Pa either Old Mill Stream or Country Acres are decent.

In Gettysburg, try Drummer Boy camping resort.

If you are in the Hershey area the High Meadow Campground and Elizabethtown KOA are satisfactory.

However giving the time of year, and after this harsh winter, I would call to see if and when they will be opening.

    Usually its after April 1st.

  2. Homeroscar,

I donot think there are any in Spring Lake, You might want to try Allaire State Park in Monmouth County or

Pine Cone Resort in Freehold Township. They are probably 20 and 30 minutes away respectively. There are also

a couple of campgrounds in Jackson, NJ which puts you out about 45 minutes with summer traffic.

Hope this works out, make reservations early & enjoy. If you need more info let me know.

  3. danrlane,

The closeset campground to that location is the West Chester/Philadelphia, Pa. KOA.

Problem is they do not open until April 1. Country Acres in Gordonville, Pa. opens March 15.

Both of these places are what I consider well run and maintained properly.

Flory's Campground in Ronks Pa. and Mill Bridge Village Campground in Paradise, both just outside of Lancaster Pa. are open all year but with limited facilities.

Hope this will give you some direction in your decision.

  4. Dan,

In our travels, we have stayed at the Lake George RV Park in Glen Falls. Nice resort, a little hilly, but there are some nice level sites down by the paddle boat lake. They have a movie theater and comedy/magic shows. If you venture out try eating at Sutton Place.

Outside of Buffalo, in Oneida, is the Turning Stone Resort, on the Oneida Indian Reservation. It's a beautiful place to camp, and they offer a shuttle service from your site to the casino for entertainment and fine dining. Check out their web-site for coming attractions.

Whenever we visit Lancaster, we stay at Country Acres, in Paradise PA. It's right off of US 30. The full hook-up sites in the back are very nice, wide and level. It is convenient to the outlet malls. Plenty of places to eat. If you go into the downtown area check out Fireman's Hall.

Have a safe & wonderful trip.

  5. CPEN If you are going to Daytona Beach for a race International RV Park is nice especially in the new section in the back. All roads are paved as well as most sites. If you are looking to stay beach side, north of Daytona in Flagler Beach is a nice place right on the beach.

  6. I'm thinking about traveling this summer the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, Route 13, through the Del-Mar-Va penisula, to bypass Baltimore and Washington DC. I was wondering if anyone has travel this route in a Motor Coach, and should I be concerned with a 12 foot 7 inch clearence in a 13 foot 6 inch tunnel ???

    Thanks, mikie
