I bought a 2014 Scion tC 6-speed. Owners manual gives steps for recreational towing. Got baseplate installed and ready to travel until the FMCA 2015 towing guide says Scion vehicles are not approved for flat towing. My question to Scion asking for reason for change has not been answered. Was it because of engineering change in drive train? Was it because Scion experienced failure history that caused them to not approve in 2015? Does anyone have experience with towing Scion tC 6-speed (good or bad appreciated). Thanks.
