This is the end result after I finished replacing the old television. Doesn't look as big with the slide in -

Cut 5 1/2" off the bottom of the cabinet, routed the bottom edge, stained with Early American oak stain from Minwax and polyureathaned. You can't tell it was ever altered. Much more headroom when getting in and out of the coach. -

It's not too hard to take the cabinet apart with a good screw gun and a square bit. Then you can cut it down on a table saw. It does help to have some nice tools. -

The old heavy stuff... good riddance -

This was the first modification that I did to the coach when I got it. The overhead panels that the sunvisors were attached to were loose. I put some new 5/8" pieces of plywood in and did a better job of attaching them. They are a little bigger than the originals but I don't think they'll be coming loose anytime soon. -

I have two 1" aluminum angles that are screwed to the back of the television that slide up into the top of the cabinet then drop down about 1/2" into the bottom of the cabine and are secured with the two small screws that you can see in this picture. Simple job, just a little time consuming. -

This is what I started with. -

Our 2003 Holiday Rambler Imperial that we bought in June of 2011. This is the second motorhome that we've owned and we wouldn't trade it for anything. All motorhomes need attention I don't care what year or make it is, it's just something you have to get used to. This coach has everything we ever wanted and more. It has things that I didn't think you could get on a motorhome, remote entry and a door bell are just a couple.
