There are three rigs ( 2 motor homes & 1 fifth wheel). We are planning our Canada/Alaska voyage starting on June 1, 2013. We are all retired and have no exact date for returning home, other than getting out of that area prior to bad fall weather. We too have been reading Milepost plus other publications regarding the trip to Alaska. We plan to do a lot of one night stays while on the road. Don't have any reservations at any parks to this date. After reading some of the posts we might need to reconsider that thought. This is also is our maiden voyage after purchasing a 2007 Phaeton 36' quad glide in June 2012. We just joined FMCA and also find the blog to be very helpful. We have been fifth wheel rving for 20 years but our first adventure with a motorcoach. We are in South Fork, Colorado for a month and are finding out new things about our coach each day. Currently we have a thermal payne window on drivers side with moisture, a blown fuse that affects the left turn signal for the towing vehicle (coach left works but the town connection does not) and a problem with the passenger power chair. Hope to solve the fuse problems before we go home in early September. Would appreciate any help identifying vendors in the North Texas area that can repair vapor that is forming with thermal payne windows. All and all we are enjoying our Phaeton.
