I just purchased a used roadtrek and need to replace the weak batteries. They are two 6 volt batteries in series. Any thoughts on what I should be looking for in replacing them. Stay with 6 volt or go to 12 volt? Capacity of battery?
Should I charge the batteries before installing them into the Roadtrek or just let the inverter/charger do it? I didn't know if my charger was adequate to do the proper job.
Also is there a recommendation on what voltage level where the batteries should be charged without relying on the crude battery indicator in the Roadtrek?

My refrigerator works great on 120 volt but will only maintain about 50 degrees on propane. The flame is blue and I just got back from having it serviced and cleaned but it is no different. They said they cleaned the burner?? I checked the temperature in the freezer and it appears to be OK, but not the refrigerator. Any thoughts what to try next?
Storing Roadtrek For Winter

I am getting ready to store my Roadtrek for our Wisconsin winters.
Three questions:
1) Is it best to remove the two twelve volt coach batteries and keep them in my basement where I can charge them periodically and keep them from freezing?
2) Is it best to fill the vehicle gas tank and add Stabil to treat the gasoline for a six month storage?
3) Should I disconnect the vehicle battery to prevent running it down during storage?
Thanks,
Jerry
