J79Engine

I have a 2005 SunVoyager 8.1 gas Workhorse chassis which just came back from the dealer and I started showing the ABS light on the panel. I plugged in my code reader but it showed zero codes. I pushed the clear button any way but it did nothing. Any suggestions as to what could be causing the ABS warning light to stay on steady? I did not ask for any work to be done it was in for a sky light replacement when a tree limb split it because the tree limb was too low over the main road to my neighborhood. We plan to drive it up to the Indiana Glamarama Rally in a few weeks but don't know if I should just ignore that ABS light for now if I can not find the cause?

Regarded Worldwide as the F4-J79 engine expert and kept busy with emailed questions and requested visits to member Countries who fly the F4 Phantom, i.e. Germany, Greece, Turkey, Israel, South Korea, and Japan. Last year I spent two weeks in South Korea and three weeks in England on J79 business. South Korea is asking for a urgent visit this year due to expected problems with their Northern neighbors, but not scheduled yet. I have a British wife, Diana, and three children born in England and all collage grads. Our oldest daughter has given us two grand children. Our son will marry in May 2013, and our youngest daughter is married but is working on her career as a RN, currently manages the Truma One ICU at Cincinnati Univesity Hospital while attending Wright State University to graduate in the Spring of 2014 as a Nurse Practitioner then she will start a family. I guess I will be trying the dicore 501LSW to seal my recently leaking sky light over the shower...Hmm SR71 to a C130. I did not need any as a f4 Phantom engine guy on the GE J79 engine best in the World turbojet engine,

So 4 of my tires are original as far as I can tell on our 2005 SunVoyager and I was thinking they should be changed this year because they are at least 8 years old. I had the dealer change the front two because they had flat spots from the coach sitting in Michigan for 2 years before it was traded in Ohio. The front tire are Michelins tires which I have also on my pickup truck and like the ride they give. I was figuring 2K for the four tires to be replaced. what is the rule of thumb on RV tires 5 years? and how do you know the tire dealer is not supplying you with tires that have been on his rack for 4 years or does the Michelin program guarantee the tires were manufactured in 2013? What does the load rating like H mean, as stated above? Thanks; USAF, Ret but still working in Aviation

I have a 2005 38 foot SunVoyager 8.1 GM workhorse with Alison trans. I reduced my speed to 60 max and get around 6 MPG while towing a 2012 GMCTerrain AWD weight is at 3200. I did have a engine check light problem but after having it checked twice we all came to the conclusion my gasoline octane was too low. I was using regular gas but when I started using 92 octane the light never came back on, so think when towing the toad the 92 octane needs to be used and so I just always fill it with 92-93 gas. I try to watch the speed and keep it below 60, I may try keeping it down at 55 and see if it produces better gas mileage now that we are stepping into the young senior years...LOL The problem I have at the moment is it will not start often on the normal battery but kick in the house battery switch and it starts fine. I think I need to check voltage drop on the lead from the battery to the starter which will probably show I need a new lead to correct the problem. All batteries were replaced last year so I know it is not the battery. Trials & tribulations of RV life! Eventually we will retire for the second time and we can enjoy the sights of the USA...is that not what we served 17 years overseas for in a 22 year USAF career!
