Harris Beach State Park in Brookings just over the border from CA is lovely, reservations recommended, though we've stayed there and moved from spot to spot every night. Newport has the best beaches for walking in my opinion, Beverly Beach State Park is in the trees but also has beach access and Newport has the best beaches . We love the seafood at Local Ocean, a fish market by day and a restaurant by night in the old part of town, right across from the fishing boats that bring in the fish. There is always a line and they don't take reservations. Totally worth it. I'd like to know where to eat seafood in Astoria?
