I own a 2007 Heritage.
Over the phone, Spartan had me disconnect and reconnect the electrical connectors on the decoder box.
That did not work.
When I was at the NC Rally, Spartan disconnected the steering column and air horns. They also checked the spring in the steering wheel and that was working properly. After re-connecting all the wiring, the Smartwheel worked for only a few days.
I had Tom Johnson RV Center look at the decoder box. They cleaned it with electrical cleaner and told me the box was still good and did not need replacing.
On my way home, it was hit or miss if the Smartwheel worked.
Has anyone experienced this before? If so, any suggestions you can provide would be helpful.
Could it be a ground issue? If so, does anyone know the location of the ground wire for cleaning?
