  1. We have decided to sell our 2008 HitchHiker 36' 5W, now permanently parked in Mission, TX, and sell or trade our 2005 Safari Trek 28RB2 Class A. We intend to replace both with a 38' (+/-) Class A with 3 slides on a Workhorse W24 chassis. At the moment, based on our online research, the leading candidates are a 2006 - 2008 Fleetwood Pace Arrow 37C or Southwind 37C with the optional W24 chassis. These seem to have the features that meet our criteria as well as pricing in our budget range. That said, we are open to considering other makes /models with comparable quality, features and pricing. We would welcome recommendations together with the reasons for those recommendations. Thanks
  2. We are considering replacing our Safari Trek with a 36-38 ft Class A Gas. Our preliminary Internet research as well as recommendations from this forum has determined that the following coaches may meet our requirements. preferences and budget. 2007/2008 Fleetwood Pace Arrow or Southwind or 2007/2008 Winnebago Adventurer or Voyage and Itasca Suncruiser or Sunrise As Canadians we use our coach in cold weather and appreciate the reduction in window condensation Dual Pane Windows provide. Having reviewed the downloaded brochures for all these models we could not find any reference to Dual Pane Windows either as standard or an option, although we have have been informed they were standard on the Winnebagos & Itascas Can anyone confirm if Dual Pane Windows were available in any of these these models? Thanks
  3. We are Canadian Snowbirds and presently have a 36 ft HitchHiker 5W permanently parked in a RV park in TX. We also have a 28 ft Safari Trek which we use for the north-south-north migrations and occasional touring from time to time when the travel bug bites. We are considering selling both the HitchHiker and Trek and purchasing a larger (used) Class A Gas to replace both. Preliminary Internet research has determined that a 36-38 ft model, 2007 -2010, on a Workhorse chassis will probably meet our preferences and budget. We want a coach from a manufacturer still in production as the Trek has taught us about the problems obtaining coach specific parts for an "orphan" coach. e.g. a $750 headlight. An example of a floorplan and spec we have found that looks like it will meet our requirements is a Pace Arrow 37c. It has 3 slides, (2 will be OK) an enclosed bathroom, 60 x 80 queen bed and good sized galley. We would appreciate recommendations for similar or better quality coaches with a good reliability history. Thanks
  4. We have a 2005 Safari Trek on a Workhorse W20 Chassis with Allison 1000MH AT, S/N 6310384251 I intend to have a complete TES295 AT Fluid changeover done by my local GMC/Workhorse service center. I had this done previously at the same time as installing the deep pan on our Sierra 2500HD . My arrangements with them is that I supply all parts and fluids and they bill me for labor only. I have the following part numbers from the changeover with the Sierra, with possible updates found on websites for online Allison parts vendors and would appreciate confirmation that I have all the correct part numbers before ordering online. Fluid Allison TES 295™ Castrol Transynd® (Or Equal) External Filter Allison 29539579 External Filter Magnet Allison 29535617 Internal Filter (Deep Pan) Allison 29542824 Replaces (?) 29537966 Pan Gasket (Reusable) Allison 29549684 Replaces (?) 29536526 I would like to order asap so early responses will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
