  1. thank you jleamont. It is right where you said it would be. That one has never been replaced on my coach and it has 59K miles on the engine. I had it into a Cummins service center for oil change and lube service several times and they did not replace it. And at one location in SC they even removed that floor access panel which allows the visibility to that filter when they replaced the leaking radiator overflow/recovery tank. I wonder what happens when this this filter is not serviced when needed.
  2. Thanks, wildebill308, that article is better than the operation manual. I think I will wait until the 800 hours service interval to have the spark arrestor to be serviced as this unit does not put out a battleship smoke screen like the older Onan genrators each time it is started. There are many things in the 800 hour service list that require that entire cover to be removed. I have to think that an ONAN/Cummins MBA lobbied for the removal of the missing access door and bullied the engineering guys into removing it.
  3. The owners manual for my ONAN 10HDKCA spec E generator shows an access door on the side of the generator opposite the access door for the filters and oil dipstick. That access door is not there. In the manual, it is shown as the place for the spark arrestor. Can someone tell me where the spark arrestor access is located by supplying a picture or a great description of the location?
  4. My Cummings Engine Manual specifies a coalescing filter CV5060300. That is a mistake. The part should be CV50603. That part is obsolete and has been replaced by CV50628. I finally got through all of that, but now I do not know where to find that filter on my engine. Hopefully some one has picture or a great description of the location.
