Congrats, If you like spectacular natural scenery, Southern Utah-Northern Arizona has so much to offer. We are from the east coast and have been in that area 4 times, 2 times RVing. The most recent was last May/June. There is Moab area with Canyon Lands and Arches National Parks, Colorado River, Dead Horse Point State Park (a real must) and Red Cliff's Lodge (a must for dinner or Sunday Brunch and the free film museum). South of Moab on the Arizona border is the Monument Valley and Goulding's Lodge and RV park. To the west at Page, AZ is Lake Powell (Weahweep Rv park), Antelope Canyon White's Ferry on the Colorado and Vermillion Cliffs. To the west of there is Byrce Canyon (Ruby's Inn Lodge and Rv park) and Zion National Park (eastern entrance that can accommodate RV, there is a $20 fee to have the tunnel made one way for your transit and you must have your tow vehicle go separate, but the trip is cool and no problem for our 42' Monaco). While in that area there is also you can work in the north and south rim of the Grand Canyon, but south rim offers far more than the north rim. If a good mountain roads don't bother you, going route 12 between Moab and Bryce canyon. Depending on the direction from which you are coming, there are several ways to loop thru this area. As you can tell we really enjoy this area. Hope you do also. Hope this was helpful.
