I recently spoke to a motorhome salesman and he said newer diesel motorhomes required an additional fuel tank that
would contain a diesel fuel additive that cost $5 per gallon and would hold up to 17 gallons. The exhaust from a diesel would then
mix with this additive before being released into the atmosphere. The additive would last about 3 tankful's of regular diesel fuel before having to be refilled. Do older diesel motorhomes have to be retrofitted to meet the new regulations?
I'm confused.
