    Hi All,

    I'm having a problem with my rear AC. Compressor runs and fan does not. Also the ac unit runs even when the thermo is in the off position. I moved this unit from the front ( where it worked fine ) to the rear spot and put a new 15k Brisk Air II up front. The new one works fine. I checked the wire set up and they are both wired the same way. I also put a new thermostat in the rear. A 12 volt relay has been mentioned. Where would I look for the relay ? Is it in the control box ? The only way to shut off the AC is to shut off the 120 volt breaker in the panel. Could it be the control unit is warn out ?

    Bob, each zone of your system has a solenoid valve. Now this may sound different, but if you can get a small hammer and lightly tap on each solenoid. They have tendency to stick. See if this helps.

    Hurricane, Hydro Hot and Aqua-Hot units must be serviced every year and exercised once a month. This helps keep all parts loose and keeps the carbon from building up in the unit.

    We just purchased our 2000 Safari Serengeti with a Hurricane hot water system. It heats the water just fine but I can't seem to get heat out of the vents in the coach. The manual says there are two brass valves that need to be both set the same direction for winter ( hot water and heat ) or set for summer ( hot water only ).

    The only valves I can find are under a hatch by the bed at the rear of the coach. I have tried turning them and have been able to see and feel the hot water moving through one of the lines but no heat and the lines going to the heater vents in the coach are not getting hot. I would really appreciate any help on this issue. I have several other issues as well but will save those for another time and topic.

    We just purchased our 2000 Safari Serengeti and when I moved the slides out I noticed that the white rubber seals seemed to have gotten shorter. The corners were cut at a 45 degree angle, however they no longer meet and are short by about 1 inch leaving daylight / rain to get into the coach. Not a very big deal in AZ but we're heading to the NW shortly. Does anyone know where to find the gasket material for this type of slide ? They close flush to the coach surface.

    Thanks to all for your input on this. We just bought a 2000 Safari Serengeti 4006se. The tile is pretty ugly so it will be taken out. We may go with engineered wood as it is warmer on the feet and easier to install ( I have a fair amount of experience with wood products ) our friend tells us that as far as resale goes, tile is a better choice.
