This is very similar to my Blinking lights on my 2000 HR Navigator! The door would lock to end the The blinking lights that occurred with each door opening. Mechanic located clicking noise associated to keyless entry module under Drivers side. Replacement module on order. Keyless entry not used by this owner. Best of Luck!
