The adapter can usually be found at Walmart. I use one when the 30 amp at some of the older (usually state & Federal) campgrounds look corroded or burned. Generally the 50 amp are in better shape.

64 to Chama is definately OK, but the stretch from Tierra Amarilla to Tres Piedras can be a little tight for your length unless you're experienced in driving mountainous terrain with tight 'S' turns. There's a couple of them that double back on themselves. Snow doesn't usually close that stretch of road until the end of Nov. to mid Dec. but when it's closed -it's closed for the winter. It is the MOST beautiful road in all of NM!! I live north of Taos and travel it often as it's the nicest route to the 4 corners area. Enjoy!

GVWR is the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating. When the motor home weighs this much, you will be at full capacity. One more pound and you are overweight! This limit is related to the tires, brakes, suspension system, chassis design, etc. Exceed this weight limit and something will be damaged and eventually break. It then becomes a very serious safety concern.You now need to know the Unloaded Vehicle Weight which includes full fuel, oil and coolant but does not include fresh water, propane or waste tank fluids. Once you have this figure you can add up the weights for the propane (6 lbs per gallon), water (7 pounds per gallon - works for waste tanks also) and then subtract the difference between the unloaded vehicle weight plus the above additions from the GVWR. This is the weight of the driver, passengers, clothes, computers, cameras, golf clubs, food, dishes, tools, lawn chairs, BBQ, etc. you will be able to carry.
The GCWR is the Gross Combined Weight Rating. It is the combined weight of the motorhome and any towed vehicle or trailer. The answer to the 2005 Canyon question lies in the difference between the GVWR and the GCWR. Given your figures above, the Canyon (fully loaded as you travel with it and fueled) can weigh only 4000 pounds. Check the owners documentation for the Suncruiser for information about the hitch rating. The hitch must be rated for 4000 pounds also.
As I indicated, the missing figure you have to find is the Unloaded Vehicle Weight. Our motor home has a sheet which gives all these weights. It is on the back side of one of the lavatory cabinet doors. I don't know where you will find it on your motor home but it should be there as I think all manufacturers were listing these values on a posting somewhere in the motor home for at least the last ten years. Read the sheet carefully and do a little math and you'll have your answers.
Correct weights: LPG is 4.2 lbs/gal & water is 8.3lbs /gal. Quite a difference if you're talking several hundred gals.

Young King Arthur was ambushed and imprisoned by the monarch of a neighbouring kingdom. The monarch could have killed him but was moved by Arthur's youth and ideals. So, the monarch offered him his freedom, as long as he could answer a very difficult question. Arthur would have a year to figure out the answer and, if after a year, he still had no answer, he would be put to death.
The question?...What do women really want? Such a question would perplex even the most knowledgeable man, and to young Arthur, it seemed an impossible query. But, since it was better than death, he accepted the monarch's proposition to have an answer by year's end.
He returned to his kingdom and began to poll everyone: the princess, the priests, the wise men and even the court jester. He spoke with everyone, but no one could give him a satisfactory answer.
Many people advised him to consult the old witch, for only she would have the answer.
But the price would be high; as the witch was famous throughout the kingdom for the exorbitant prices she charged.
The last day of the year arrived and Arthur had no choice but to talk to the witch She agreed to answer the question, but he would have to agree to her price first.
The old witch wanted to marry Sir Lancelot, the most noble of the Knights of the Round Table and Arthur's closest friend!
Young Arthur was horrified. She was hunchbacked and hideous, had only one tooth, smelled like sewage, made obscene noises, etc. He had never encountered such a repugnant creature in all his life.
He refused to force his friend to marry her and endure such a terrible burden; but Lancelot, learning of the proposal, spoke with Arthur.
He said nothing was too big of a sacrifice compared to Arthur's life and the preservation of the Round Table.
Hence, a wedding was proclaimed and the witch answered Arthur's question thus:
What a woman really wants, she answered....is to be in charge of her own life.
Everyone in the kingdom instantly knew that the witch had uttered a great truth and that Arthur's life would be spared.
And so it was, the neighbouring monarch granted Arthur his freedom and Lancelot and the witch had a wonderful wedding.
The honeymoon hour approached and Lancelot, steeling himself for a horrific experience, entered the bedroom. But what a sight awaited him. The most beautiful woman he had ever seen lay before him on the bed. The astounded Lancelot asked what had happened.
The beauty replied that since he had been so kind to her when she appeared as a witch, she would henceforth, be her horrible deformed self only half the time and the beautiful maiden the other half.
Which would he prefer? Beautiful during the day....or night?
Lancelot pondered the predicament. During the day, a beautiful woman to show off to his friends, but at night, in the privacy of his castle, an old witch? Or, would he prefer having a hideous witch during the day, but by night, a beautiful woman for him to enjoy wondrous intimate moments?

That's what I would do in your shoes. I like my S&T and renew every couple of years, not because I have to, but because I like to have the newer version & the latest goodies.

I just got the tethered service through Verizon as my son works for them and we share a family plan. My part is $25 a mo. or about $.80 day & we can turn it on & off whenever we want. We only pay for time used. I have to say, it's many times faster than my middle of the road Wildblue at home.

Leaving your propane tank turned on is the norm for motorhomes. A motorhome tank, like a home tank, has a built in 'excess flow valve' which shuts the flow of gas if a line becomes ruptured. The danger if you are in a wreck or blow a tire is minimal as a ruptured line will shut down almost immediately. The amount of gas (size of flame) on a MH fridge is so small that the flame from a wood kitchen match is greater.
I have run a fridge on an inverter, and believe me, if you forget to change over when you stop you will run your batteries down in short order.

I have Hankook 245/70r/19.5 truck tires on my coach and have to say that they track like they're on rails. I can't speak for tire wear as they only have about 8000 miles (still look like new), & I hardly ever have to add air.

HAS ANYONE INSTALLED THE AIRTAB SYSTEM ( THEY SAY THEY BREAK UP THE VACCUUM BEHIND THE MOTOR HOME AND INCREASES THE MPG SLIGHTLY. AND ALSO KEEPS THE REAR CLEANER AND HELPS WITH THE SIDE THRUST WHEN BEING PASSED BY 18 WHEELERS. ) I JUST GOT A '09 ITASKA LATITUDE 39W AND AM CONSIDERING ADDING THESE. thanks!
Wolfe10 has 'em on his MH and has noticed some improvement. Some like 'em and some think they're ugly. There are lots of pros and cons on the Internet RV forums about them and I believe the pros win. Spend your $$ and try them for yourself.

I can't answer the question from practical experience, but I'd think your milage was low for that setup.
(we have an 07 Winnebago Voyage, bought new. Has about 7000 miles on it.-07 Voyage OR a 34 ft RV with 2 slides, and gas Workhorse engine.)
8.1's with the Allison do as well or better than my Ford, and should be at least in the range of 8mpg.

Personally, I fill'er up and add some more Stabil. Full tank is best for storage and stabil should preserve it. You will probably lose some 'pep' (stale gas) but not worth going out to just burn it off. Next time out, after several hundred miles, fill up again with 'fresh' gas and it will be back to normal.

Other advantages to a full tank as opposed to one only 1/4 full are you're always ready to travel & your generator is not ready to run out of fuel.

When I had a problem with my Dometic cooling on gas but working fine on electric it turned out to be a low flame height. I had already replaced the cooling unit that had failed, and had sub 0° in the freezer and 34° in the fridge on electric. Left on a trip with a good looking gas flame, so I assumed it was working. Fridge was up to 50° the first night & I had no clue what was wrong so we bought ice to preserve food. The fix was to clean the burner orfice. Here's the pics of before & after of the flame height.

The plastic MH sinks that I've had experience with are very thin. Either replace with one of like size in porcelain or do what I did. New counter and a glass vessel sink.
Question About Ford F53 Chassis Parking Brake

I agree that this driveline parking brake is useless. Mine burned out the first time I drove off with it engaged and didn't notice any drag at all. No help to the OP but Ford has obviously still not perfected a parking brake that works.
