  1. After starting engine if you  allow the key to return on its own to the run position engine will run for about 6 or 8 revolutions and die, if you release the key slowly   usually   the engine will operate normally. I can not get the ignition switch assy. out of the dash. I have the tool to remove the screwed bezel from the face of the dash but the switch will not release from the switch bezel. Any suggestions on any of the above. I think this is my 2nd. time to post anything I hope I did it right. Thanks in advance for any help.

  2. coach new to me 2 month owner ship 54000 miles. coach runs great no power issues, do not tow. any time coach sets over night it will smoke from exhaust for30 sec to 4-5 min. could this be a problem with the manifold grid heater? I have no oil or coolant  issues. any suggestions will be appreciated.

  3. My 2003 1200lrim cooling unit died.

We were in Yuma AZ. last month. Had the cooling unit replaced with a Norcold unit. I would like to install a small pancake fan inside the fridge to improve cooling. Should I install it on the same side of the cooling fins as the thermister ? T

hanks in advance for any advise. I hope this the correct way to ask a question as this is the first time I have used the forum except to view.

  4. While towing the sport wagon and crossing a railroad track at approximately 45 mph. the VW steering wheel began oscillating violently and shaking my 40 ft. Revolution motor home.

I have a Blue Ox mod.#4775 with about 40,000 miles on it. It has not been serviced in the last 2 years, but appears to not have any excess play.

Has anyone had this problem where the tail wags the dog. The shaking or oscillating is very violent and will not stop unless you come to a complete stop, before starting again.

  5. I guess my question was not clear. I can't determine if the controls are vacuum or electric as nothing works so far as ac/heater /defrost/etc.

With just the key on, if engine is running everything seems to work fine, but I would like to know where the pump is, if it has one.

  6. I have a 2003 American Coach Revolution with a ISC 350hp 1,050 lb-ft torque, I see advertised the same engine same torque but 380hp. Does anyone have info as to what the difference in the engine might be or is this a programing issue, chip etc.? I thought I would ask everyone before contacting Cummins. I got this info from the FMCA mag. July issue page 54. 1st Kite Flier.

  7. Rich, thanks for the reply. I have a solid front axle and centermatic balancers, oil filled bearings/sealed hubs. The coach does wander a bit but there is no appearance of scuffing. I didn't think caster or camber would cause cupping of the tires on the edges only? I checked the shocks and they seem OK,nice and smooth no leakage and very stiff.

  8. Having tire cupping on outside edge of left front tire along with cupping on inside of right tire.

The alignment is OK, no knife edge or uneven wear on surface of either tire. shocks are new last year about 6,000 miles on both the tires and shocks . any ideas,???.

The coach is a 2003 American Revolution 38b with 68,000 miles. oh, the tires are Goodyear 278/80/r22.5.

  9. I have a 2003 Revolution & had the same problem with adding water to the batteries. Yes there is a slide out tray for the house batteries. Contact

American Coach talk to them, the compartment that holds the batteries is the same size as the American Coach. The tray is made by kwickee, mine cost $180.00 in 03.

We do very much like our Revo.

  10. Hi to all,

Well I have the new heater element in hand but I can not get the old elements to move, they seem to be frozen in place.

I can see no holding screw or anything that is holding then in place, tried twisting and pulling even used a hammer, to tap on the flue area where the element is situated so far no movwment.

Any help or advise will be helpful.

Once again thanks to who ever reads and responds.

    jimt.

  11. I posted a question on page 1 of this thread, asking Chuck for info on how to get the CD repair info from E BAY, no answer yet. My 1200LR with ice maker shows no ac also. The refer worked fine untill we turned it of. The coach is pluged into 50 amp dedicated circuit and I have confirmed 120 v at the refer plug on to the circuit board. The 5 amp auto style fuse blows when auto or ac is requested. any ideas???. I called Norcold absolutey no help except TAKE IT TO AUTHORISED REPAIR FACILITY....... The refer works fine on LP. The recall has been done. Thanks to anyone who takes the time to respond. Jim T.

  12. This is not a reply, but more of an information request.

Chuck you mentioned that you got your CD for tech info/repair from E Bay. What do I ask for/look for in order to get what I am looking for. I am a retired air line/ auto mechanic and do all repairs I can on our 03 Fleetwood Revolution. We have had all the recalls done on the Norcold 1200 LM with ice maker. It worked fine for 6 mo. We got home in October and parked the coach in the back yard plugged in to a dedicated 50 amp service all appliances off but coach not in the store mode. I turned the refrigerator on yesterday selected auto mode and it flashes no ac available,. Popped the cover on back of the refrigerator and the 5 amp auto style fuse is really smoked. Called Norcold, but company policy no info period. You must take it to a certified repair facility. Replaced the fuse and as soon as I selected AC the fuse blew again. any ideas or how can I get the CD.

Thanks for your time and happy travels.

    Jim Touchstone.
