braking system for toads. Supplemental Braking Systems
raptor4070 replied to raptor4070's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
Thank you all! -
Hello all!! I would love to hear from you regarding supplemental braking systems. I have a Smart Car the I recently purchased as my tow vehicle behind my Beaver Baron Class A Diesel pusher. The Smart Car weighs approximately 2,000 pounds. I plan is to flat tow the car and in my research I have found varying opinions on the use of supplemental braking systems, whether it is needed or not. For my peace of mind I plan on purchasing one as I would rather be safe than sorry in the event the car breaks away. With this said there are many supplemental systems out there that range from several hundred to over 1,000. I want a braking system that provides the braking that I need however, I do not want to over spend on a braking system that is overkill for my little car that will BREAK(see what I did there, LOL!) the bank. I would appreciate your recommendations and advise Thank you!

I removed the bypass valve handle to get to the remainder of the setup. The plastic is not a problem those are easy enough, however brass check valve connected to the tank and the tee is the issue. That's what I cannot remove

Thanks! for the ideas, I'll keep you posted.

Hello! My hot water trickles out then stops. I've checked and read what the problem could be and I suspect a faulty check valve. The problem that I am having is that, the brass fittings are stuck and I cannot loosen them. Does anyone have any ideas on how to loosen them? Thanks any ideas are appreciated!

I have a 2003 Beaver Baron and am having trouble with both my driver side and passenger sun shades, both are locked in the down position. On the driver side of my rig in one of my compartments there is a fuse box which houses the fuse, I changed the fuse with the recommended amps because it was blown however still no power to either shade. Any ideas of where else I can troubleshoot? Thanks I appreciate any assistance.

2003 Beaver Baron: Filling Fresh Water Tank
raptor4070 replied to raptor4070's topic in Water and Holding Tanks
Whoo! Hoo! Finally, Hugh shout out to all of you who chimed in especially Rich! The cropped picture with the brass valve was the culprit. After taking a closer look the small valve knob was broken so I had to use a pair of pliers to turn it. That did the trick and was able to fill the tank. I'll pick up a new valve to replace the broken knob. Thanks again! Everyone!! -
2003 Beaver Baron: Filling Fresh Water Tank

So! Here's an update. I moved the valve from horizontal to vertical and turned on the water in the coach and in either direction there is water that flows through the faucets whether I have the valve vertical or horizontal . So I took the valve off, attached a hose and then moved the lever from horizontal to vertical and water came out of only one side at a time when the other was closed. Which leads me to believe that it's not the valve. I am stumped!! -

Thank you for the responses, I have attached a picture -
I just picked up a 2003 Beaver Baron and I'm having trouble filling the fresh water tank. The problem is that it does not fill. I opened the lever, connected the hose, turned on the water and nothing goes in the tank. Could this be an issue with the water pump allowing water to pass into the tank? Any help would be appreciated.
