rckozy Report post Posted October 11, 2016 If anyone needs an RV entry door hinge I recently found a good site for a very good replacement hinge for a Phillips entry door that is no longer available from the manufacturer. I will provide the website http://www.fleetwoodrvhinges.com/. and I have heard a lot about this product and I should receive it in the mail today. I am told the replacement hinge that attaches to the frame is made of steel and that it will be a much needed improvement than the original factory Phillips hinge and I think the hinges that attach to the screen and door are aluminum. The website says it will work with many motorhomes that used the Phillps door but that you should check with them prior to ordering to make sure it will work with your coach. I also searched on the Discovery website and found a lot of information about the hinge and that if you do remove the screws from the frame side that you should remove one screw from each hinge get the same size screw that you removed about a 1/4 inch longer and cut the head off and put one in each hinge before removing the other screws holding the hinge so that the backing plate inside the RV door frame does not drop.
