charmir2@bellsouth.nety Report post Posted March 25, 2010 Hi. I have a 2002 Holiday Rambler Endeavor. Every time it rains, I find water in my passenger-side rear storage compartment. I have been putting sealant on all the seams on the roof and the window above the compartment, to no avail. Any suggestions will be appreciated. CHARLIE P. jonrjen Report post Posted March 26, 2010 Water leaks can be a real pain to locate, because it doesn't always run in a straight line. I have heard of leaks being caused from non-caulked screw holes above or around slide out or window awings. Also the seam where the roof and the side of the coach meet. Another overlooked area is often at the bottom of a slide out. Sometimes rain water will drip off of the awning covers, run down the rubber slide seal and then flow inwards towards the bottom of the rubber seal and settle in the basement compartment below. I am going to assume that you have checked the seal around the compartment door where the leak puddles. Good luck, let us know when and where you find it. garykd Report post Posted March 29, 2010 Hi kiwi5864, Welcome to the FMCA forum. Is the compartment: 1. Purely for storage or are there any coach components in the compartment (i.e., awning control, slide control, etc.)? 2. Next to the rear wheels? 3. A single compartment or a pass through (to the other side) compartment? 4. Total wet compartment floor or just one end/side? 5. Just the floor is wet or the walls are wet too? 6. This happens when sitting still or when moving or both? Thanks
