EaglesNest Report post Posted April 1, 2009 PIZZA IN A POT 1-1/2 lbs ground beef 1 medium green pepper, chopped 1 medium onion, chopped 1-15oz can tomato sauce 1 jar (14 oz) pizza sauce 2 Tbsp tomato paste 3 cups spiral pasta, cooked and drained 2 pkgs (3-1/2 oz each) sliced pepperoni 2 cups (8 oz) shredded part skim mozzarella cheese In a large skillet, cook the beef, green pepper and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the tomato sauce, tomato paste and pizza sauce. In a 5 qt slow cooker, layer the pasta, beef mixture, pepperoni and cheese. Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until heated through. Yields 8 servings **** you can substitute 1/2 lb. Italian sausage for the pepperoni. Just cook it along with the ground beef, pepper and onion.

Guest lmakin Report post Posted April 27, 2009 This recipe sounds great. Do you serve it with some type of Bread?
EaglesNest Report post Posted June 2, 2009 You can serve it with a salad and a french or garlic bread. It is good. I make this for our boys when we are going to be gone on a trip and I have taken one with us when we travel for a quick lunch or dinner. I have also made it and put it in a bowl. Just dipped out the amount I wanted to eat and heated in the microwave. Just use your imagination. I think mushrooms and black olives would be a good addition as well. Just think Pizza and add your favorite toppings.
