Comparing tire pressure monitoring systems

Recommended Posts

I have a 40' Sportscoach with Jeep Cherokee toad which is approx. 57' in length.

I have begun comparing some of the tire pressure monitoring systems on the market and would appreciate some real user feedback on performance, reliability, etc...

The three that have gotten my attention initially are the Tire Minder TMG400C-4, Tire Safe Guard, and the Doran 360RV10.

Can anyone speak to these monitoring systems or any other that have been used.

Some questions I have are as follows:

1. Is it almost always necessary to have a booster?

2. After the batteries in the sensors are exhausted, do the sensors need to be disposed of or can the batteries be replaced?

3. The units that have a high temp alarm 167 or 268 degrees F, I would suspect that the acknowledgement of the problem maybe too late.

Appreciate the feedback!
