Guest jayclawson Report post Posted May 19, 2010 During the Redmond convention FMCA is offering a text messaging service to deliver important messages to you. We can send text messages to your cell phone to alert you to special events, severe weather, cancellations and changes in venue. There is no cost to sign up. The only charges you incur would be the normal fees charged by your mobile service provider for receiving text messages. To participate in this exciting new service, just text the word "redmond" to 313131 (or 393939 for Canada).
czarsty Report post Posted May 28, 2010 Hey, Jay, This is wonderful! We have signed up both of our cell phones. We have unlimited texting with our plans, so it will be free to us. It is worth a small charge to be alerted to severe weather. The special events and changes is just a bonus. Judy Czarsty, F79148
Guest jayclawson Report post Posted July 13, 2010 This will be a great asset to our attendees who receive text messages. More and more people are using text and it's a way to get a message out immediately. We need to promote this to all of our Redmond visitors. It is a small price for updates about the convention.
