schlammbad Report post Posted May 12 Hi all, I recently signed up for the newer TechConnect+MAX (T-Mobile) Mobile Hotspot BYOD plan from FMCA and Hyperion, and I received the SIM in the mail, but I never saw any instructions. The envelope contained only the SIM and a packing list. I put the SIM in my Peplink and it connects to T-Mobile just enough to get an IP address, but no other traffic is let through. Poking around in the FMCA FAQ, I saw one possible hint of what to do. The very last question in the FAQ was "Can I take the SIM card out and use it in another device?" with the answer "Yes. When you do, please contact FMCA to configure the SIM card for you." That somewhat applies, I guess. I sent an email last week to the suggested alias and it went unanswered. I'll try calling them on Monday. Am I going in the right direction? Anyone else go through this? I'm a bit shocked at the lack of information.
johnpatrick Report post Posted May 14 I was considering doing the same thing myself. I have a Pepwave Max Br1 and Transit, but I noticed the BYOD Verizon plan said something about a 5GB data cap before throttling. Which is basically nothing. I'm curious how yours works out. brighac Report post Posted July 10 Did you get that working by calling? I do believe those need to match on the IMEI.
