jkfilson Report post Posted July 6, 2011 I recently had to replace the satellite dome on my 2006 Winnebago Journey (Fiberglass Roof). Naturally, the foot print of the new dome did not match to old dome foot print. What is the best method to plug and seal the screw holes from the old mount? Any sealant better than others? Guest BillAdams Report post Posted July 6, 2011 If there is remnant sealant where those screw holes are you should use the same kind as some sealants are not compatible. If you have cleaned off all remnants then I would recommend that you get some Dicor Lap Sealant (or similar lap sealant from an RV supply store). Put a dap of caulk over the hole and screw a screw through the caulk and into the hole. Repeat as many times as necessary. Now, cover all of the screw heads with caulk and you will have a leak free repair.
