Greatlakediver Report post Posted November 18, 2011 I'm going out to Yuma January 2012. Any advice on places to stay at or see? I'm planning on five days. I'm going to Memphis, then through Ark , TX to El Paso and then to Yuma. Thanks in advance for your advice Jeff
0 Guest BillAdams Report post Posted November 19, 2011 There is nothing to see or do in Yuma. It's good place to get a very long term rental rate and it's a good place to stay if you want to visit surrounding areas such as Mexico or Quartzsite (Yuk!). Yuma is also a great place to say you "were" as a lot of folks recognize the name of that city. I hope you have a better final destination in mind.
0 bobndorine2 Report post Posted November 19, 2011 Yuma is a great place to spend the winter. Fortuna de Oro or the Shangri La are nice RV parks. Fortuna has nice jam sessions. You'll enjoy the Marketplace and some great restaurants. It's only an hour's drive to Quartzsite when the event is on. To go into Mexico you'll need a passport. Real nice casinos also. Lots of things to do.
