Gaetan Report post Posted January 24, 2012 Why can't we import the Phoenix Cruiser in Canada? We were replied twice, "We can't sell it to you for Canada." When we asked why, we had the same reply. Some other motorhomes need to be fixed here for different issues, but we can't find out why we can't import it in Canada. Thanks
Guest Yeatts Report post Posted January 24, 2012 Good question and thanks for posting. We went straight to the manufacturer this morning and asked why Phoenix Cruiser is not available in Canada. Unfortunately, Phoenix Cruiser is not CSA (Canadian Standards Association) approved or DOT (Department of Transportation) approved at this time to import product to Canada. Koliver Report post Posted January 24, 2012 The Canadian Registrar of Imported Vehicles has a list of all of the vehicles that are approved. Nothing else will be allowed. http://www.tc.gc.ca/eng/roadsafety/safevehicles-importation-usa-vafus-menu-475.htm Transport Canada relies upon the manufacturer to meet Canadian Standards, and to go through the certification process and get their vehicles onto that list. If the Manufacturere hasn't dont the work, that is the end for that vehicle.
