It doesn't matter if they are a bus in a museum, a custom or home built conversion, still a bus or yard art. Between 1953 & 1960 - 5,065 buses were made. How many are still around after all these years? The info I need is: VIN - so we can track where they started from. Status: a bus, shell, converted, scrapped,..... Huskycamp Report post Posted May 10, 2012 Conversions verified by VIN: 130 Bus noted on web: 24 Scrapped busses 22 - 2 buses hit the scrapyard this week. I will add your bus to my master list. With the addition of your bus, I have 19 conversions from 1956 and would you believe that 4 of your 25 bus order are converted. Huskycamp Report post Posted April 29, 2014 PD4103-057 was delivered new in March of 1951 as fleet number 614 to Tennessee Coach Co, HQ'd in Knoxville, TN. Don't have any further ownership info other than original. BTW, my delivery roster covers all GMC Parlor Coaches from November of 1939 thru July of 1980. Have supplements for the Scenicruiser, but it only shows division and fleet numbers, plus a roster of 4905s that were delivered new with the optional V-730. FWIW & HTH. . . Huskycamp Report post Posted June 8, 2014 Steve, The VIN/ serial number can be found in one of 3 places: On your vehicle registration on the dash or stamped on the frame inside the compartment under the drivers position. The number will look like 4104-1620, 1620 being the build number. Side glass, is tempered glass you can get at any automotive glass shop. Just try to remove the existing glass carefully so they may make a copy. Windshield glass is different as well as rear window glass which is no longer manufactured.
