QuiGonJohn Report post Posted April 24, 2012 I'd like suggestions on getting something to pickup wifi better and also share it in my RV. I am familiar with Radio Labs Wave Magnum and heard good things, but it only connects to one laptop, via the USB port. Ideally I can find a router that uses the local wifi signal as the WAN side and then has it's own wifi for the LAN side. Basically instead of the WAN side being an ethernet from either Cable Modem or DSL Modem, the WAN side would pickup wifi in an RV Park, from McDonalds, or whatever. Then once this router is connected to the wireless as the WAN, it would act like a normal wireless router for the LAN side. Any suggestions? I looked at a few of the other products at Radio Labs, but wasn't sure I was seeing something like I described.
Guest BillAdams Report post Posted April 24, 2012 Take a look at the WiFi Ranger and WFR Boost setup. https://www.wifiranger.com/ The Sky is their latest product and may give you the solution without the added capability of using and air card in the router if that is not in your plans.
