gaylejp Report post Posted September 14, 2012 My wife and I are contemplating a trip to Calgary in our 40' Winnie. We will be going up through Montana. I am a nail biter and do not do cliff hangers. Can we get to Calgary on Alberta Highways 2, 3, and 4 without me freaking out?
0 lmsooter Report post Posted September 15, 2012 Welcome to the FMCA forums. We just returned from a 3 month trip to Canada and Alaska. You don't say specifically where you are located or where you intend to cross the border into Canada but from the highways you mention, I am assuming you will go north on IH 15 from Great Falls, Montana. I can tell you that the trip from Great Falls, Montana to Calgary is a very simple and relaxed trip. It is primarily rolling plains and no cliff hangers. Nice roads all the way - mostly divided 4 lane. Relax and have a great, enjoyable trip. I don't know about now but in late August, Montana 3 between Great Falls and Billings, MT was under heavy construction and rough. If I were going to go to Great Falls through Billings, I would take US 87 to Lewiston and continue to follow 87 west to Great Falls.
