Getting in the right frame of mind to start putting the three-week-long summer trip together. We are still in debate over location and are in the process of pouring over pages and pages of travel guides. With the price of gas so high, we may be staying a little closer to home than usual, but our adventurous spirit is aching to get going. We loved Tennessee last summer and really enjoyed Kentucky's Mammoth Caves the year before. Weren't too thrilled with Arkansas, but then again, we didn't travel much into the Ozarks. We are thinking maybe a lingering journey toward New England and over to Niagra Falls or up into Nova Scotia, but then we are looking at logging a lot more miles than initially thought.

The excitement is in our bones and school is almost out for the summer. Tom has to take vacation days and we will be set to go around mid-June.

Anyone have suggestions on location? We know it's always about location, location, location.

If you are thinking of going to Nova Scotia take the coastal route along the Maine coast really a beautiful area. There are some really nice state parks along the way like Camden State Park, Acadia National Park (depending on the size of your motorhome), Lamoine State Park, Cobscook Bay State Park, and then there are some great Canadian parks as well like Fundy. Have a great summer where ever you end up going!

We live in Maine and just started to RV this yr with our two youngest children. Because of work I had to go to Buffalo NY and we decided to drive the RV and make it a work n travel time with the family. So after a day of meetings we got a campsite in Niagra Falls Canada and took a cab a few miles away from the KOA and had a great time seeing the falls and local sites and new Casino then had dinner at the top of one of the rotating restaurants atop one of the high rise bldgs and it was awesome. We are looking to go from home here in Maine out to South Dakota and spend a few weeks on the road with the kids and are just starting to try and plan to which we have not a clue. Good luck in your travels .

Rick
